On the Role of the Site Visitor as Consultants & Program Reviewers

The role of a program review is an advocate for Honors education. The process of reviewing an Honors Program or College should be one in which there is a rigorous assessment of both the strength and weaknesses of the Program or College but with the overall aim of helping the College or Program improve quality of Honors education at their institution.

A reviewer should listen carefully, and ask pertinent questions. As far as is practical, within the time of a review, the reviewer to try and understand the context of the institution in which the program is embedded so as to help maximize the impact the review can have in helping program to develop and improve.
