NCHC Membership Categories and Dues

In 2018, the NCHC membership voted to amend the NCHC Constitution and Bylaws to accommodate changes to NCHC membership categories and definitions.  The approved proposal, created through the work of various ad-hoc committees, the NCHC Finance Committee, and approved by the Board of Directors, helps address the need for an update to an outdated membership and dues structure implemented in 2005 which limited the organization’s ability to serve the membership. Part of the amendments include the implementation of a tiered dues structure for Institutional membership.  These changes support a more transparent member system that spreads the cost of organizational membership out across the member base and help support the organization as a national voice for honors education.

The changes to the membership structure and dues are effective January 1, 2020.  Members will be able to renew for 2020 at the new rates beginning in June of 2019.  Any new institutions or individuals wishing to join for the remainder of 2019 will be able to join under the existing 2019 structure and pricing. For more information on membership types and benefits please visit NCHC's Join page (outside the Member Portal).
