2018 Ballot Proposals
Share |

Each year, NCHC members are encouraged to vote for candidates from among a slate of nominees to the NCHC board. This year, in addition to selecting leadership, there are three additional changes to the operations of NCHC, proposed by the NCHC Board of Directors, that require the attention of the voting membership per the organization's bylaws.  The following proposals were approved by a vote of the membership in December of 2018 and will go into effect as of January 1, 2020.

Proposals to amend the NCHC Constitution and Bylaws

Ballot Proposal 1: Proposal to amend NCHC Bylaws to create a tiered dues structure for institutional membership

Ballot Proposal 2: Proposals to amend NCHC Constitution and Bylaws concerning membership definitions and voting rights

Ballot Proposal 3: Proposal to add an additional student member of the Board of Directors with a one-year term

Details about each of the three proposals can be found by clicking on the links above.

A FAQ document can be found as well as a link to submit any questions you may have regarding the proposals.

In addition to the information provided on the website a series of online informational sessions, led by the NCHC leadership, have been scheduled.  These sessions will include an overview and the history behind the proposed changes as well as a Q&A period for you as a member to address any questions or concerns you may have with the proposals.  Each date includes a link to the online meeting room, provided by Webex, which can be accessed the day of the meeting:

  • August 23, 11:00 AM CST (Listen to session recording HERE)
  • September 19, 2:00 PM CST (Yom Kippur) (Listen to session recording HERE)
